ABS anti-lock braking system

Initially, aircraft braking distances were very long during landing, and the braking process was easy to cause a flat tire due to tire locking. To this end, French aircraft designer Chabriere Voisin designed a set of wheel pulse braking system, which greatly reduces the braking distance and reduces the puncture, which is the prototype of the ABS anti-lock braking system.

Due to the continuous optimization of the electronic system, the traditional mechanical anti-lock braking system has been replaced by electronically controlled ABS. In the 1970s, this technology was first applied to automobiles, and with the maturity of technology and the continuous reduction of cost, ABS anti-lock braking system began to be widely popularized in the 1980s. In the case of emergency braking, the ABS anti-lock system can keep the front wheel steering function, improving the safety of the car.

steering-by-wire

The term "steerable by wire" sounds like science fiction, but in fact its working principle has been widely used in the field of aviation. Due to the continuous development of aircraft, the traditional mechanical hydraulic transmission structure is complex, transmission speed is not agile enough, it is difficult to meet the demand; The wire transmission control technology has fast response, agile control and simple structure, which just makes up for the shortage of mechanical transmission. The principle of wire control is to let the control instructions be transmitted to the actuator by electrical signal after processing by the computer, so as to achieve control.

In the automotive field, the most representative of this black technology is the Infiniti Q50. It is equipped with "DAS wire control active steering" is also the principle: there is no hard connection between the steering wheel and the wheel steering machine, through three sets of independent electronic control units, comprehensive calculation of road conditions and the driver's operation intention, and finally through the cable control steering motor to complete the steering.

Like steering-by-wire, fly-by-wire braking is derived from the aircraft's drive-by-wire technology. The advantages of its simple structure and rapid response are first applied to the pursuit of ultra-lightweight F1 cars: when the driver presses the brake pedal, the ECU controls the distribution of rear axle electric brakes and front axle mechanical brakes through calculation, thus simulating a linear braking effect. Provides the most powerful brakes without locking, and maximizes energy recovery.

In the last two years, this technology has gradually been applied to production cars, such as Alfa Romeo & Co. Giulia and new generation CR-V. The traditional hydraulic power brake needs to rely on the vacuum negative pressure generated by the engine to generate power, and the teletype brake is to complete the power by the motor, and only the brake part depends on the hydraulic system to complete.
